Uzi More

President and Founder

Uzi is a pre-eminent expert on security and protection. He founded M.I.P. Security in 1996 having completed an extended period of service with a security arm of the Israeli Government. His vast experience in terrorist-related threat and risk analysis, together with the varied security projects he has led around the globe allow him to call upon a wealth of experience and resources for his clients.

Uzi was a founding partner of MYY Ltd and one of the founders of the International Physical Security Forum and as such enjoys a global reputation. He has been responsible for the detailed design and implementation of security projects for a number of Israeli government compounds and works with corporations and government agencies around the world.

As an explosives expert and mechanical engineer, Uzi was in charge of a series of full scale blast tests of the effects of car bombs against buildings. He has also tested physical security products for a number of Israeli and other governmental departments. Uzi completed his government service with the rank of colonel, holds a Master of Science and a degree in Public Policy from Tel Aviv University, and degrees in Economic and Management Studies and Mechanical Engineering.

Arye Kasten

Chief Executive Officer

Arye is a captain (reserve) in an Israeli Defense Forces Special Forces combat unit, and completed his service in the Israeli Foreign Ministry Security Division where he was head of security at Israeli Embassies in Beijing and the Baltic States. While in China, he oversaw the security aspects of the construction of a new state-of-the-art diplomatic compound in 2002.

Prior to joining M.I.P. Security, Arye was the Head of Project Management and Training for MYY Ltd, where he executed threat and risk analysis projects and participated in protection concept design and planning for corporate clients and governments around the globe. He planned and ran training courses and seminars in a number of security related projects and has been an invited speaker at many conferences.

Arye is intimately familiar with the Asia Pacific region where he continues to be actively involved in many M.I.P. Security projects. He is an expert in tailoring security programs which incorporate human resources recruitment and training, physical security and procedures.

Jonathan Shoham

Vice President, Strategic Projects

Jonathan Shoham is a recognized security expert specializing in explosives, protection and security management. As the former Chief of Staff and deputy head of the protection and security division with the Israeli Security Agency (ISA), Jonathan was responsible for the effective operation of security at all ISA protected entities in Israel including the Prime Minister's office, Ben Gurion Airport, strategic ports, border crossings and VIPs.

While with the ISA, Mr. Shoham founded and headed a specialist branch for the research of IED threats and counter measures. In this position he was responsible for analyzing all relevant intelligence relating to IED threats and designing suitable technological solutions. Prior to joining the ISA he had a distinguished military career including the founding and commanding of an elite unit attached to the Corps of Engineers specialising in explosives and detection technology.

Mr. Shoham has served overseas as the regional security manager in Italy, Albania and Malta where he was responsible for Israeli installations and air and sea interests.

After leaving the ISA, Mr. Shoham was appointed CEO of Tamar Explosives Ltd. where he managed the operations and growth of the company. Today Mr. Shoham advises MIP Security clients on a wide range of security and business continuity topics.

Trevor Shaff

Senior Security Consultant

For more than eight years, Trevor Shaff headed a community security organisation covering 60 sites in Cape Town and is a specialist in counter terror techniques. He has set up and run myriad security training programs and undertaken consulting and implementation projects focused on improving physical and technical security.

Duriing the past three years, Trevor has been the Senior Security Consultant and trainer to the Bank of Zambia and Central Bank of Kenya, as well as Security Consultant and Security Instructor to various luxury shopping centers, governmental organizations, offices, banks, offices parks, property developers, factories, warehouses, hotel chains, country clubs and lodges across East Africa. He has trained over 8000 personnel on the African continent in all aspects of physical security and counter terrorism.

Trevor is also an expert in emergency disaster planning and has been responsible for the design and implementation of complex disaster management strategies involving multiple stakeholders. Trevor brings a multi-disciplinary approach to community and multi-site security to the M.I.P. Security team and his skills are sought after world wide.

Adi Blum

Senior Security Consultant

Adi Blum is an HLS and communication design and integration specialist with an extensive track record in the implementation and management of complex large-scale systems encompassing security, building management, communication and audio/visual. His work includes site surveys, the preparation and management of technical tenders and design of control rooms; specification, integration and deployment of CCTV and digital recording systems, electronic fences, active detectors, access control and intrusion detection systems. He has worked on major transportation and infrastructure projects around the world including water utilities, rail and light-rail networks, highway control rooms, sewage facilities, court rooms and prisons, airports, oil, gas and hydro-electric facilities.

Beatriz Riestra

Chief Operations Officer

Born in Spain, Beatriz joined MIP Security after an extended academic career as well as her job at the Spanish Consulate General in Jerusalem where she maintained contact with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, (COGAT) a unit in the Ministry of Defense. Beatriz joined MIP Security in 2008, managing training programs and projects in the Spanish speaking world as well as organizing, accompanying and managing the wide range of projects undertaken by MIP Security across the globe. She holds an MA in Middle/Near Eastern and Semitic Languages, Literatures and Linguistics from the Complutense University of Madrid, was awarded with a PhD fellowship and conducted research for a few years at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
